Thorpe 53.59 and 26th in the 100 butterfly
Ouch, there have been a lot of headlines these past weeks about the ‘Thorpedo’ flopping, bombing etc, and now even a full second improvement in the 100 butterfly from the World Cup leg in Beijing earlier this week doesn’t bring him closer to the final in Tokyo than a 53.59 and 26th spot in Tokyo,…

I’ve been in a minibus with this guy and Eamon Sullivan as late as in Stockholm in October, it was even more mini with them in it :-) VIDEO: Can Thorpe beat Huegill? Also in these news, Eamon Sullivan is surprised that he maybe gets to race Ian Thorpe already now … and calls butterfly…

Our younger swimmers found it difficult to swim up to their best times, but the meet was nice and the stay superb. Hopefully coming back next year. Photo: René Thomsen

Called to the scene, they were blocked because there was a medal ceremony taking place. Biedermann somehow got through, the two others had to wait until later for their medals. Looking forward to tomorrow.
