Norwegian swimmers struck by strike
Returning from the Debrecen 2012 European Swimming Championships, coach Finn Zachariassen and swimmer Sindri Þór Jakobsson came to closed doors at their Bergen base, all municipality swimming pools closed because of strike. Norway sends 16 swimmers to the Debrecen 2012 Europeans
According to simma.nu/no, Norway will send 16 swimmers to the 2012 European Championships in Debrechen, Hungary, next month, including Ingvild Snildal but not Alexander Dale Oen. Icelandic born Sindri Þór Jakobsson set a Norwegian record at Danish Open 2011 today, with a time of 2:02.38 in the 200 butterfly. Andreas Schiellerup and Daniel Skaaning set Danish junior records, Jeanette Ottesen and Pernille Blume qualified for Shanghai 2011, and three swimmers qualified for the European junior championships in Belgrade this summer.
