A Colorado cancer survivor has succeeded in her remarkable quest to swim across the English Channel four times in a row.

For a coalition of dedicated fans of Sarah Thomas at Denver International Airport on Sunday, the waiting was the hardest part.

Sarah Thomas was diagnosed with breast cancer less than two years ago. She underwent treatments, and as soon as her health allowed, she was back in the water. Today she completed 133 miles of swimming in 54 hours and 13 minutes.
