• FINA’s Open Water Swimming Technical Committee is to work with the International Triathlon Union and the International Olympic Sports Medicine Committee to fine tune the detail of recommendation made by two inquiries into the death of American swimming Fran Crippen in a 10 K marathon race in Fujairah, UAE last October. “The people in FINA need to move that race from Shanghai,” Shoulberg told AP. “There’s no way it can’t be hot in Shanghai.”
