You can now be fined at New Buffalo’s public beach if you ignore red flag conditions. Drownings occur every summer on Lake Michigan. Some are due to people going into the water during unsafe conditions, such as rip currents. This new policy will try and prevent those incidents.

Judge Asked to Rule on Boston College Swim Team’s Suspension | WCVB Channel 5 Boston
The men’s and women’s teams were placed on indefinite suspension on Sept. 20, when university administrators first announced they had determined that hazing occurred within the program. This month, 37 members of the teams filed a civil lawsuit asking a judge to allow them to return to the pool.
