A promising 7:50.81 and 6th in the prelims, and then 7:52.57 and 7th in the final. If you understand Swedish then you are in luck, because he explained to SVT right after the race. Problem simply that he decided to not follow the charge the first few laps, and then realized after a few hundred…

Again, sorry for not posting more here, despite of being in the middle of it all. Back home they are busy with our National holiday, and here I’m doing all sort of irrelevant things instead of sitting down to blog. Like watching those awesome high-divers.

How has it affected PÃ¡l Joensen to move from home in the Faroe Isles, to his own place in big town Copenhagen, and switching coach first to Paulus Wildeboer and then Shannon Rollason? I guess we will see soon, personally I’m taking this as the best time to be experimenting, if ever before Rio 2016.

Birita Debes yesterday broke her own Faroese record in the women’s 100 backstroke, when she managed a time of 1:05.64, the old record a 1:06.19 from the Danish Open meet in March. We might be ranking a bit low on the general roster, but pretty high when it comes to national records per event :-)

Phew, Poula Ã˜ssursdÃ³ttir Mohr set a new Faroese record this morning, clocking 1:04.58 and 41th of 53 in the women’s 100 meter butterfly here in the prelims of the FINA 2013 World Championships in Barcelona. Her record was 1:05.92 from the Mare Nostrum meet in Barcelona in June, so it was a nice big improvement…
