French Train Network Hit By ‘Malicious’ Attacks Before Olympics Ceremony, Rail Firm Says | BBC News

A series of fires have hit French high-speed rail lines, hours before the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.

Rail company SNCF said it is a “massive attack aimed at paralysing the network” and France’s transport minister condemned the “co-ordinated malicious acts”.

Some 800,000 customers are affected with disruption expected all weekend, the rail firm said.
