We’re sitting in a room off the swimming pool at Loughborough University, Leicestershire, a British swimming performance centre. Both twins are studying business and computer science at the university.

Though it’s Daniel who we had arranged to interview today, Nathan’s schedule has now changed, allowing him to join us. Nathan is quieter, allowing Daniel — the older twin — to do most of the talking.
