After 13 years of 800m Freestyle dominance, starting when she was just 14 years old, Katie Ledecky has finally lost, and to none other than Canadian wunderkind Summer McIntosh.
At the Southern Zone South Sectional Championships meet in Orlando, 17-year-old Summer McIntosh, swam an incredible 8:11.39, beating Ledecky by nearly 6 seconds.
But what does this result really mean in the lead-up to the Paris Olympics? Will we see a battle of the ages soon?
