The British Woman Breaking Records With Icy Swims In The Antarctic | This Morning

In February 2020, Welsh ice swimmer Cath Pendleton made history by becoming the first person to swim a mile in the icy waters inside the polar Antarctic Circle. An unlikely world record holder, the mum-of-two and NHS worker – also known as the Merthyr Mermaid – only started cold water swimming in 2015. Now the 49-year-old has set her sights on duplicating the feat on the other side of the planet, inside the Arctic Circle. And today she’s joining us from her makeshift training ground – a freezer in her shed!
