Tokyo 2020: Pina Siblings to Be First Cape Verdean Swimmers at Olympics | CGTN Africa

Although they’ve never been to Cape Verde, siblings Jayla and Troy Pina will represent their mother’s home country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.  22 year-old Troy will compete in the men’s 50 meters freestyle while 16 year-old Jayla will feature in the women’s 100 metres breaststroke.  Together, they form the first Cape Verdean swimming team to compete in the Olympics.  CGTN’s Wanja Mungai has more.
