Myanmar Swimmer Win Htet Oo Gives up Olympic Dream to Protest Junta Violence

Myanmar swimmer Win Htet Oo has abandoned his chance to compete in the Tokyo Olympics as a protest against the military junta’s violence. In an April 10 statement, the 26-year-old said joining Myanmar’s Olympic team would legitimize “a murderous regime”.
