2 Men Dead After Tuolumne River Canyon Drowning, Sheriff’s Office Says

Two men died after drowning in Tuolumne County, according to the sheriff’s office. Rescue crews responded to the God’s Bath swimming hole in the Tuolumne River Canyon and initially said there were three victims, officials said. Due to communication issues, crews actually recovered two male drowning victims, and there was not a third victim, the sheriff’s office later clarified. One of the victims was recovered Friday, and the other was recovered Saturday morning, officials said. No other details were released.
