Czech Freediver Plans World Record Attempt in Swimming Under Ice

The Guinness record for swimming under the ice is 76.2 meters. At the end of February, the Czech freediver David Vencl from Teplice in North Bohemia will try to break it.

Taking just one deep breath and without wearing flippers, David Vencl has swum 141 meters underwater. He can hold his breath for eight minutes.

“The problem is not distance, but cold,” explains the extreme athlete, who has been training for the record for a long time.
