US-American diver Greg Louganis is frequently called the greatest diver of all-time. He won four Olympic gold medals in the 3m Springboard and the 10m Platform Diving events. Starting at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics on home soil, Louganis claimed the Gold medal both on the springboard and platform for the first time. Four years later, at the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, he repeated his gold medal journey, becoming the only man and the second diver in Olympic history to sweep the diving events in consecutive Olympic Games. Prior to the Final in Seoul, Greg Louganis suffered a concussion after his head struck the springboard during the preliminary rounds. However, he still managed to qualify for the Finals where, showing perseverance and determination, Louganis delivered an outstanding performance to complete his incredible comeback.
