Swim competition in pool cut from ice

Outside air temperatures of -15 Celsius (5 Fahrenheit) would send most people indoors, but for some hardy swimmers in China’s northernmost province that kind of weather is perfect for a swim.
The annual Harbin Ice and Snow Festival is now open, and among the first events to be held was a swimming competition in an outside pool cut from the ice and snow.
