Training for Paralympic glory with Grant ‘Scooter’ Patterson | The Pool

Grant ‘Scooter’ Patterson may be half as tall as many people but he doesn’t do things by halves.

The 30-year-old swimmer from Cairns works hard, plays hard and flogs himself in the pool as he vies for a Paralympic medal.

He has a rare form of dwarfism called diastrophic dysplasia and gets around on a tricycle, hence his nickname.

He gives everything 158 per cent and lives by the motto: ‘take no prisoners’.
