Jumping in a freezing lake in the middle of winter can make a difference.
This year’s Polar Plunge at Clark Lake, which benefits Special Olympics, is set for 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at The Pointe Bar and Grill, 1200 Eagle Pointe Road.
The Polar Plunge is a state-wide event where participants jump into a freezing body of water to raise money for Special Olympics. Participants can jump solo or with a team.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with a parade of costumes at 10 a.m. Costume awards and an After Splash Bash begin after the last “plunger.â€
Registration is $75 and includes a long-sleeved T-shirt, but any donation would be accepted.
