HBO’s ‘Girls’ stars slam Stanford rapist

The stars of HBO’s ‘Girls’ are outraged about the six-month sentence given to Stanford University swimmer Brock Turner. Turner, once an Olympic swimming hopeful, was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman. HBO’s ‘Girls’ stars Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet came together for a PSA where they praise the victim in the Stanford case and discuss the harsh reality of sexual assault. The four women said “What if we chose to turn towards those in need instead of away? To listen. To support. You have a choice to make things better … And while it’s just the four of us here right now, we hope to represent the solidarity and support all survivors should be able to find.”
