A swimmer “on her last legs” was dramatically rescued by lifeguards this afternoon.

The exhausted woman was heard screaing for help after she got into difficulty off Tregonhawke beach in Whitsand Bay at around noon.

RNLI lifeguards patrolling the beach and the Looe lifeboat crew quickly sprung into action. […]

“As I reached the lady, who was wearing a wetsuit and small swim fins, she was on her lasts legs with exhaustion and wouldn’t have managed to stay afloat for much longer,” Beau explained.
