FINA Swimming World Cup 2014 Series to use the Backstroke Start Device

Due to the fact that this device will be available in the end of May 2014 only and, in order to ensure that a maximum number of swimmers have access to it for testing and practising, under the supervision of the FINA TSC Delegate present at the event, the FINA TSC Commission recommends that:

The device be used at the FINA Swimming World Cup 2014 Series in both competition and warm-up pools.
After the conclusion of the last FINA SWC 2014 event, and following the reports of the FINA TSC Delegates present at each meet, the FINA TSC Commission will make a final recommendation on whether the device is to be used in Doha 2014 or later in Kazan 2015.
