Australian’s think teenagers don’t do enough to protect themselves from the sun according to a new Cancer Council poll.

The Galaxy poll showed only eight per cent of Australians thought primary school kids were at risk of getting sunburnt – but that jumped to 47 per cent for teenagers. […]

Olympian Stephanie Rice was at Marrickville West Primary School supporting the campaign and reminding Aussie kids to make their sunsafe routine a habit for life.

“I spent so much time outdoors as a kid training five hours a day and thankfully I was always sun smart,” she said.

“It’s important we get all kids into that ritual as they get older of always wearing a hat, sunscreen and getting in the shade which are all simple things that everyone should be doing.”
