Summary
Erik Persson (1994) broke the Swedish record in the men’s 200 breaststroke, with a time of 2:07.07 beating Martin Gustavsson’s 2:07.66 record from the 2003 Swedish SC Champs. 9 more swimmers made the Swedish roster (Céline Bertrand twice) for Herning 2013, to join the 10 already pre-selected.

- 200 IM W – Stina Gardell, Louise Hansson, Céline Bertrand and Nadja Salomonsson
- 100 IM M – Sebastian Holmberg
- 100 fly W – Sarah Sjöström, Josefin Lindkvist
- 100 breast W – Jennie Johansson, Joline Höstman, Sophie Hansson and Jessica Billquist
- 200 breast M – Erik Persson and Simon Sjödin
- 800 free W – Céline Bertrand
Men’s 400 freestyle
Mattias Carlsson and Adam Paulsson were the first two Swedes qualifying for the Herning 2013 European Champs at this meet, 3:46.75 to 3:47.59 with the Swedish time standard being 3:47.94, bronze winner Robin Andréasson a bit outside the cut in 3:51.68. See the result list here.
Women’s 200 IM
Three swimmers made the Swedish 2:13.41 time cut to join pre-selected Stina Gardell on the Swedish roster for the Herning 2013 Europeans in this event; Louise Hansson Swedish SC champ in 2:09.98, Céline Bertrand silver winner in 2:11.71 and Nadja Salomonsson bronze in 2:13.14. Men’s 100 IM
Sebastian Holmberg the only one to qualify for Sweden in this event, with a winning time of 54.77 where the Swedish time standard for Herning 2013 was 55.01. Fredrich Risebrandt took silver in 55.11 and Jeremy Peter bronze in 55.45. See the result list here.
Women’s 100 butterfly
Already pre-selected Sarah Sjöström won in 56.54, with Josefin Lindkvist also qualifying in 59.58, the qualification standard being 59.60. Ida Lindborg took bronze in 1:00.21. See the result list here.
Men’s 50 butterfly
Noone qualified for Herning 2013, but veteran Lars Frölander won in 24.07, Sebastian Holmberg took silver in 24.15 and Niklas Borin bronze in 24.20. See the result list here.
Women’s 100 breaststroke
Six (!) swimmers went under the Swedish 1:08.66 time standard for Herning 2013, but only 4 can go due to LEN rules for the European Championships. Already pre-selected Jennie Johansson won in 1:05.64, also pre-selected Joline Höstman won silver in 1:06.24, Sophie Hansson took bronze in 1:07.16 and Jessica Billquist was fourth in 1:07.79. See the result list here.
Men’s 200 breaststroke
Erik Persson took down Martin Gustavsson’s 2:07.66 Swedish record from 15 March 2003 (!) with a time of 2:07.07, easily under the Swedish 2:10.74 time standard for Herning 2013. Simon Sjödin also made the time requirement for Herning 2013 with a silver winning time of 2:10.10, Robert Palosaari bronze in 2:11.73. See the result list here.
Women’s 800 freestyle
Céline Bertrand won and made the Herning 2013 roster for a second time tonight, clocking 8:45.21 ahead of Alba Forés in 8:47.75, the time cut for there Herning 2013 European Short Course Championships being 8:46.70.
