On the first night of the Australian Olympic Trials, Thomas Fraser-Holmes managed to absolutely demolish the Australian record in the 400 IM, with a time of 4:11.81 where Justin Norris’s record from 2004 was 4:15.20. Daniel Tranter finished also qualifying in 4:16.38, while Stephanie Rice and Blair Evans qualified in the women’s event in 4:33.45 and 4:37.80 respectively.
