Pál and Frans in the 400 meter freestyle Szczecin 2011 final this evening

Our guy Pál Joensen cruised to a 3:42.37 ‘textile best’ and 3rd spot in the 400 meter European final, here in Szczecin, behind Denmark’s Mads Glæsner in 3:41.71 and Germany’s Paul Biedermann in 3:42.18. And another full-blood Faroese was 10th in 3:44.68, Frans Johannesen whose parents are from Faroe Islands, but who swims for Denmark since they moved there when he was very little.
