Sakai Sets 200 Backstroke World Record

Japan’s Shiho Sakai set a new 200 meter short course backstroke world record today, at the FINA World Cup 2009 meet in Berlin, with a time of 2:00.18, where Zimbabwe’s Kirsty Coventry’s world record from the World Short Course Championships in Manchester 2008 was 2:00.91. See results
